PROJECT MANAGER

At CG Hill we pride ourselves on continuous evolution. The driving force behind constant business growth is the presence of skilled and dedicated project managers. We’re searching for a highly-skilled project manager to contribute to CG Hill’s growth and help us maintain our position as the preferred custom equipment manufacturer in the Midwest. The ideal candidate will have blueprint reading and machining experience as well as a strong work plan development and progress oversight skills. He/She will be expected to write up jobs and provide a detailed process of how parts and assemblies need to be made, prepare and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis ensuring the innovation we seek is being achieved. 

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

• Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
• To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments

• Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements
• Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes

DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects
• Write up detailed processes for fabricated parts and assemblies in our software (JobBoss)

• Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors and researchers
• Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Background in blue print reading and machining
• Proven success working with all levels of management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience preferred but training available

MANUAL MACHINIST

CG Hill & Sons, a builder of custom machinery since 1947, is seeking a 1st shift manual machinist. We offer a very competitive benefit package including medical and life Insurance, profit sharing, matching 401K and annual bonuses.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set-up, operate, and maintain our manual mills and manual lathes
• Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T
• Inspects your work using a variety of inspection equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

• Vocational experience or equivalent

EDUCATION

• High school diploma

CNC MACHINIST

CG Hill & Sons, a builder of custom machinery since 1947, is seeking a 1st shift experienced CNC machinist. We offer a very competitive benefit package including medical and life Insurance, profit sharing, matching 401K and annual bonuses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set-up, operate, and maintain our vertical/horizontal mills
• 
Ability to edit programs, make offset changes and make adjustments to the processes to help achieve optimum results
• Inspects your work using a variety of inspection equipment
• Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years or related experience (Haas Preferred)

EDUCATION

• High school or equivalent
